If you really want to see your backyard birds enjoying themselves, then you might want to opt for a fountain bird bath.  This is actually a great garden accessory that can offer you two great things in one -   the soothing sounds and feeling of a fountain in your garden and  the enjoyment of watching birds flitter about in the birdbath as they wash themselves.

In fact, a birdbath can actually increase the enjoyment of your garden because it will attract many different species of birds. Whereas a bird feeder will only attract the types of birds that eat the seeds you put in it, all birds love to take a great bath so having a birdbath in your yard will allow you to enjoy many different kinds of wild birds that you might not normally see.

When shopping for a fountain bird bath, you will find that come in many different varieties from a simple pedestal bird bath to one with several tiers of cascading water.  They can be contemporary or traditional - simple or formal.  Whatever suits your garden style is probably what you should go but you might want to consider going with a solar birdbath because this will help power your fountain without having to plug it in.

In addition, the solar powered birdbath will typically come with what is called a winterizing plate that will keep your birdbath heated in winter and, thus, keep the water from freezing.  This is actually really important for your birds because oftentimes in winter they don’t have a water supply as everything gets frozen over. Providing your backyard birds with this solar fountain bird bath can ensure their survival through this harsh time of year
